Originally from the East Bay, Lindsey chose to attend the Dual Degree Program because it was the perfect amalgamation of two totally different styles of education.
"I knew I wanted to study abroad, and I had studied French for six years prior to joining the Dual Degree, so living on the beautiful French riviera for two years and getting to utilize those skills was the chance of a lifetime."
Lindsey found UC Berkeley's internships, research opportunities, and faculty unparalleled. Living in Menton's small community also allowed them to develop incredibly tight friendships.
"Many of your friends will be originally from the region you are studying, so you also get close interpersonal relationships that accompany your more traditional education."
While at UC Berkeley, Lindsey worked in the Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program (URAP), creating a database of military and paramilitary groups in 102 countries over 40 years for the U.S.Department of State. She also participated in the UCDC Program, interning and taking classes in the capital.
After graduating from their masters program at Georgetown, Lindsey hope to work in peacebuilding institutes for interreligious conflict resolution or reconciliation, with a specific country focus on Lebanon.
