Established in the French Riviera city of Menton in 2005, the campus is located in a 19th century building overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It brings together international undergraduate students from Europe, the Maghreb, the Middle East, and the Gulf, as well as from the United States and Asia. This campus hosts the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean program.
Mediterranean-Middle East Minor
• Focus on the geopolitical, economic, and social issues of the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Gulf countries
• Program taught in English with intensive French language study
• Additional foreign language study in Arabic, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish, or Turkish
The program allows students to exchange viewpoints and refine their thinking on this region of the world. They study contemporary political, economic, and social issues affecting countries in the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and the Gulf from a critical and interdisciplinary perspective, giving them a more contextualized understanding of current affairs in the region. Finally, they work to envision the future of the region, by paying particular attention to evolving contexts in Mediterranean Europe, the Arab world, Turkey, Israel, and Iran.
